GameSpew Survives a Night at HØLM

Chris McMullen tries the demo for GameSpew, discovers some backwards table legs and has a difficult journey to the exit.

Furniture assembly in Stockroom Syndrome, with parts being fitted together in the store.

GameSpew's Chris McMullen has tried the Stockroom Syndrome demo, and his shift sounds like it went about as well as could reasonably be expected.

He assembled a table, felt rather pleased with himself, then discovered two legs were the wrong way round. A perfectly respectable start by HØLM standards. Things became less manageable when a whole collection of mannequins joined the evening's activities and he realised he hadn't memorised the exit.

Cue flung boxes, hurried glances at the floor plan and an attempt to leave work that required considerably more effort than clocking out should. He did make it through the night. There's always another one, unfortunately.

Thank you to Chris for playing and writing about it. You can read his full account at GameSpew or try the free demo on Steam. Perhaps locate the exit first.
